Mac Cheese recall Popular Boxed Macaroni Nut Allergy Risk : According to a release from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a manufacturer of popular vegan macaroni and cheese is recalling two of its products because they contain undeclared milk and tree nuts.
Gooder Foods Inc. announced in a September 10 notice that it is recalling multiple lots of Gooder’s boxed macaroni and cheese after eight people reported allergic reactions to two of its macaroni flavors. The company stated that its “Vegan Is Believin'” plant-based white cheddar cheese product may contain milk, while its “Here Comes Truffle” truffle-flavored pasta may contain cashews.

The notice states that people with allergies or severe sensitivities to milk and/or cashews may be at risk of severe or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
The recalled lots were produced between April 7 and April 15, and distributed nationally to wholesale distributors, operators and online retailers between April 29 and Aug. 8.
“The company is recalling the affected product and notifying all distributors, retailers and consumers who may have received the impacted lots,” the statement said.

Which products are included in the recall?
Gooder Foods is recalling five lots of its plant-based cheddar cheese flavor and three lots of its truffle macaroni and cheese, manufactured between April 7 and 15, 2025. The affected products were distributed nationwide to wholesale distributors and carriers and sold online between April 29 and August 5.
The company said six cases of allergic reactions have been reported related to Goodles’ “Here Comes Truffle” and two cases related to “Vegan is Believin’.”
The lot codes for the Vegan Is Believin’ product, which comes in a 5.25-oz. box, include 09725N, 09825N and 09925N. The best buy dates on the boxes are July 7-11, 2026, with a UPC of 850031990074.
Here Comes Truffle, which is sold in a 6-oz. box, has a lot code of 10125N, 10425N and 10525N. The best buy dates are July 11, July 14 and July 15, 2026, with a UPC of 850031990159.
The UPC and lot codes are located on the outside of the product.
